Haslington Lodge Care Home recognise staff wellbeing during a wellbeing morning of cakes and a natter hosted by their very own wellbeing champion and member of their care team, Lilly.
From employee of the month recognition, birthday celebrations, a recent winter pay bonus, and a WhatsApp peer support group, Haslington Lodge takes staff wellbeing very seriously.
Eager to continually recognise the valuable contribution members of the care team make Lilly took the opportunity to involve staff and residents in a morning of cupcakes and tea, providing a chance to relax, talk and enjoy the handmade cupcakes on offer.
Clare Swan, Operations Director at Belmont Healthcare says: “We spend all of our time making sure the needs of the people we care for are met and supported. We pride ourselves on our dedicated teams and the high standards of care they provide. This is why we take staff wellbeing very seriously. Delivering care isn’t always an easy job, it can be incredibly physical and emotional, which is why we are always keen to offer support and time to members of our care team who might need support themselves. Whether it is a discussion about work, or something in their home life, we hope to make our place of work open and inclusive so that everyone feels they have someone to turn to. Our wellbeing morning is one of many that we hope our team members enjoy and benefit from.”
