We have all been very sad to hear of our Queen, Queen Elizabeth II passing.
Taking comfort in our memories and thoughts, here at Madeira Lodge Care Home, we made the decision to create a memorial wall to commemorate the Queen’s life and provide a lasting image for all of us to reflect on.
We also made the decision to post letters and cards to our new King, King Charles III. Sending our heartfelt condolences at the sad loss of his Dear Mother, extracts from a selection of the letters read:
‘You will be in my thoughts, and I will be wishing. you the very best during this dark time’
‘Whilst you mourn, please remember the World mourns with you’
‘I pray you find strength in the love of family and in the warm embrace of friends.’
Adele Grant, Activities Coordinator at Madeira Lodge Care Home says: “Taking cuttings from newspapers we made a montage of our most preferred images of the Queen as a lasting reminder of just how special she was to us and so many others. She will be greatly missed; we send our heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family.”
