Madeira Lodge Care Home is taking the opportunity to shine a light on local volunteers, the Romney Marsh Litter Picking Watch, during Volunteers' Week 2021 1-7th June.
Volunteers’ Week is a time to say thank you for the contribution millions of people make across the UK through volunteering. This year Madeira Lodge celebrate the initiative by recognising the fantastic contribution the Litter Pickers make in keeping our community tidy.
In addition Volunteers’ Week is taking place during the #MonthofCommunity. Running throughout June, #MonthOfCommunity brings together organisations with a range of events in order to encourage us all to think about and join in with activities happening in our local communities.
In the spirit of #MonthofCommunity Madeira Lodge would like to let you know that Romney Marsh Litter Picking Watch will be making a difference in our community this weekend and hope many more will join them.
Volunteers can join the Litter Pickers on the beach at West Parade Hythe Saturday the 5th or in the Countryside at Ivychurch Sunday the 6th. Both starting at 9.30am, all equipment will be provided with refreshments and cake served after. For more information check out their Facebook page here.
