Home care A first-time respite customer was thrilled with Belmont at Home South East.
Initially starting her Belmont Healthcare care journey as a respite resident, she came to Madeira Lodge Care Home as a hospital discharge following treatment for injuries sustained falling in her home.
Having spent little more then three weeks receiving care and support from the specialised residential care home, it become clear she could go home.
All she really needed was support at home to help build her confidence and independence back to where it was before being admitted into hospital.
Suggesting home care might be a better option she jumped at the chance to return home knowing she wouldn’t be alone to fend for herself.
Support and companionship was provided during regular visits throughout the day to enable her recovery. Now with increased confidence and independence Belmont @ Home are only required to help during a morning and a late call at 10pm every day.
In her own words, this is how she feels about the care and attention received from Belmont @ Home care services:
“I always look forward to my visits from Zoe who also gives helpful advice and reassures me if I have any worries or concerns. How thoughtful and kind Zoe is, nothing is ever too much trouble, just knowing Zoe is there to help me is reassuring.”
Providing one morning and evening visit to make sure their client is fully prepared for the day ahead. Once the day is done an evening visit concludes the day with assistance preparing for bed, security check around the house, and house alarm set until the morning duties begin again.
Zoe Kendall, Manager at Belmont @ Home South East says: “Suffering a nasty fall and ending up in hospital can have very negative affects on an individual’s confidence. They lose trust in themselves and can often regress to a place that can leave them incapacitated. For this lady home care was definitely the right choice. Thankfully the bespoke nature of our service meant we could offer what others don’t, which is a late night call. Specifically requested by our client who wanted assistance getting ready for bed as well as peace of mind her house was secure over night, we were happy to agree. Now with our encouragement, guidance and support she only requires one morning and evening visit to maintain that safety net and confidence she needs to live independently back into her old routine.”
Unlikea traditional home care service; the Belmont @ Home service offers a more bespoke and tailored service to meet the needs and requirements of the customer. From personal care, organisation of social activities, attending to daily admin, housekeeping and preparing meals, or acting as chaperone to appointments, the service is as focused as the customer wants it to be.
The main benefit of the service are the skills and knowledge derived from its specialist elderly and dementia care homes, which means Belmont @ Home is able to offer specialised support to people living with Dementia, Parkinson’s or cancer, as well as those requiring care after a hospital admission.
Unlike other home care services across the UK, Belmont @ Home care services are not rushed. Every individual benefits from the care team’s time, attention, and care. No rushed visits, no clock watching, just time for dedicated personal service.
