Dementia care facility at Wombell Hall care home in Gravesend is now officially open
Wombwell Hall Care Home unveils its new dementia care facilities, Copperfield House, during an official opening ceremony led by Mayor Cllr Daniel Adewale King.
The 5.5-million-pound development was met with high-praise from the Mayor and fellow dignitaries, including Lady MP Lauren Sullivan, Deputy Mayor Jenny Wallace, Pastor Michael Coverney, and A.D.D.S Manager Sherrie Boyd.
Their attendance to the official opening underscored the importance of this facility in elevating dementia care standards within the Gravesend community. Taking the tour of the 22 beautifully appointed ensuite rooms and four suites, each room has been designed for comfort, independence, and personal care.
The facility also includes a welcoming bistro, an on-site beauty salon, exclusive dining areas for family gatherings, and a 24-hour manned reception to provide round-the-clock support and security. Each feature aims to offer convenience, engagement, and well-being, ensuring everyone living with dementia feels right at home.
Adam Hutchison, Managing Director said: “This project is an inspiring example of how we can reimagine care for those living with dementia, creating spaces that not only offer security but also enhance quality of life. It was a privilege to welcome the mayor and guests and a pleasure to introduce improved dementia care for the area.”
