The community of Greenhithe in Dartford has pulled together to make Haslington Lodge Care Home charity summer fete one to remember.
Planned for September the 10th the summer vibes will not be lost in what will be a fun day for all members of the community to participate in whilst raising money in recognition of Older Person’s Day for Age UK.
There will be a garden BBQ and plenty of traditional summer fete games, hook a duck, a cake stall, and thanks to community donations the planned tombola and raffle will be well worth buying tickets for.
Tracey Crittenden, Activities Coordinator at Haslington Lodge Care Home says: “From local residents, to our local Savers supermarket shop keeper, Boots the chemist and Medway Buzz bingo hall, the outpouring of generosity has been amazing. I can’t thank them enough it’s got us very excited about the event, which we hope many members of the community will attend.”
Starting at 11am all members of the community, young and old, are invited to join in the fun as a last hurrah to summer ,and for a very good charitable cause.
