Across Kent and East Sussex Belmont Healthcare have launched a Winter Warmers campaign aimed at taking the chill out of the cost of living crisis.
Opening the doors of their care homes, Madeira Lodge in New Romney, Haslington Lodge in Greenhithe, and East Sussex home Edendale Lodge in Crowhurst, are inviting their neighbours to treat the care home as a warm hub whilst enjoying good company and conversation.
Adam Hutchison, Managing Director at Belmont Healthcare says: “We want to be good neighbours and help those in our community manage this winter in the best way they can. From the increase in energy bills to the cost of living generally, people will be happy to welcome a friendly face, good company, a warm environment, and some refreshments. It’s the least we can do to support everyone as we head into the colder drearier months, and we hope can’t wait for people will join us.”
The open-door policy throughout Autumn and Winter is there for anyone who wants to pass the time, meet new friends, and use fewer draining resources in their own home. A cuppa and slice of cake or for those who would rather, soup and roll is being offered. The only thing the care homes ask for in return is a £1 donation to the Care Workers Charity.
