Haslington Lodge is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will supervise a team of Care Assistants, create personalised care plans, perform risk assessments, and ensure the delivery of high-quality care that empowers individuals to live as independently as possible. Strong organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, empathy, understanding, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creation and execution of personalised care plans and risk assessments.
- Completion and monitoring of medication administration record (MAR) sheets.
- Documentation and monitoring of daily care notes.
- Assisting individuals in attending appointments and participating in community activities.
- Promoting and fostering independence among residents.
- Overseeing medication administration and keeping accurate records.
- Providing nutritional support, including meal preparation.
- Conducting household duties to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
- Assisting residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, oral care, and toileting.
- Assisting with mobility needs using aids like hoists and standing aids as necessary.
- Offering companionship to enhance residents' emotional well-being.
- Safeguarding residents and ensuring their overall well-being.
- Effective communication with colleagues, management, residents' families, and third-party professionals.
Candidate Requirements:
- Prior experience in the health and social care sector or a relevant qualification.
- Ability to lead by example and promote a positive work environment.
