Care Home Chef

Haslington Lodge is currently searching for a dedicated and proficient Care Home Chef to join our caring team. We believe that quality nutrition is an integral part of our residents' well-being, and we are committed to providing meals that are not only delicious, but also suited to their unique dietary needs. In this role, you will be tasked with managing kitchen supplies, preparing a variety of meal options, and ensuring that all health and safety standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with colleagues and management to ensure residents' nutritional needs are fulfilled.
• Manage the ordering of kitchen supplies and keep accurate records of food and supplies delivered.
• Maintain the highest health and safety standards within the kitchen.
• Develop and implement a rotating menu that accommodates all residents' dietary needs and preferences.
• Coordinate kitchen staff rota, ensuring all shifts are adequately covered.
• Oversee the kitchen budget.
• Prepare a range of meals that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.

‍Candidate Requirements:

• Prior experience in a Chef role.
• Qualification in food preparation and cooking.
• Excellent organisational and management skills.
• Strong team leadership abilities.
